[Postcard]

Quincy Ills - Apr-28-1917

Dear Daddy -

Received your card today. was so glad to hear about the suit. And the water being put in too. Are you going to paint the house this year? If not I guess the paint I got will be just as good next year, if you keep lead covered with oil or water. Am sorry i did not get my laboratory finished painted on out side.

I certainly thank you for the trouble I've been, but leaving so quick I did not have a chance to do half what I should have got done. It is just now noon, and maybe I will get book this after noon. we get mail here most any time in the day. I will try and write letter as soon as I can. Got quite a bit of playing to do tomorrow. Hoping you are well and getting along alright. I am your loving son -

Paul B.
